What a day!


First and foremost, America inaugurated our 44th president, the 1st African American president, Barack Hussein Obama.
As of noon, he was officially president, although he wasn't yet sworn in.
Aretha Franklin's performance was, erm, interesting?
I know she's legendary, but she just didn't do that well!
The spot in which Obama gave his inaugural address was in front of the Lincoln Memorial in DC, which is also where Martin Luther King Jr. gave his infamous "I Have A Dream" speech.
It was also significant, because it was the Lincoln Memorial, and it was President Abraham Lincoln who gave the Emancipation Proclamation, freeing slaves.
I'm so happy about that!
